MLK Subarea Plan Comments Opportunity - January 22, 2014

March 12, 2013, my blog entry commented about a proposed plan at the Catholic Community Services, and early this month, it appears, work began at the Site for their new project.  The Catholic Community Services is across the street from the MLK Subarea, as it is outlined for the planning ongoing at this time.  Sadly, not present anymore at that site is the older version of the AME Allen Church Building and the old trees.   A comments opportunity on the MLK Subarea Plan comes up on the 22nd of January.  Perhaps some people would want to comment on this loss, or give other comments about this part of Tacoma.  An article in the Tacoma Weekly called for a frank discussion about the difficulties involved in a gentrification effort in a neighborhood that features multi-income.  Tacoma neighborhoods have a stress that features all income groups in their neighborhoods, which should include low-income.  The stress on having all income groups included in all neighborhoods is supposed to include all opportunities to continue green places in all the neighborhoods.  So, I wanted to re-include the call that the MLK Subarea Plan does have an opportunity to comment which will be January 22, 2014.
