From Lila Mors Jul Bok, 1923

This little pretty children shoe I got in the summer in Germany in / my cousin's well-stocked children's room, a little eruption of the / running-rampant knitting and crochet epidemic. It adapts itself / as a sock for the child, before it begins to walk, but also / lightly enlarges for a larger child as a slipper. / The crochet is the so-called "tunesian" crochet, perhaps you know /
this, otherwise you have perhaps some good friend who can show / you. I will however attempt to / guide and describe this: the directions follow. (by someone named Lise)
